Stronyx Started in a Park. So Can You.

Outdoor workout machines you find at parks are great.
- They’re easy to use.
- They get you outside.
- They give people a simple way to move without needing a gym membership, a complicated program, or the confidence to walk into a weight room and act like they already know what they’re doing.
And honestly, that matters.
For some people, those machines might be the first step back into movement.
For others, they might just be something they use during a walk to feel a little better that day.
Either way, I’m not mad at it.
Because the truth is, pretty much anything that gets you moving deserves some respect.
Logan and I understand that more than most.
Before Stronyx had a name, before there was a system, before there was a progression or a system, we were training together in the park.
And not too long ago, Logan was literally training people out of the park.
Did he bring kettlebells and plyo boxes to the park?
Yes.
So when I see someone using equipment like that, my first thought is not, “That’s not real training.”
My first thought is, “Good. They’re doing something.” And for a lot of people, doing something is the hardest part.
Because starting can be hard.
- It can feel embarrassing.
- It can feel intimidating.
- It can feel like everyone else already knows what they’re doing and you’re the only one trying to figure it out.
That’s one of the reasons these machines make sense and a great start for some just trying to do a little bit better.

They’re easy to do.
- You don’t need to know the perfect workout split.
- You don’t need to understand tempo, loading, progression, or programming.
- You don’t even need to know what the machine is called.
- You just sit down, grab the handles, and move.
That simplicity has value. Not because it’s the best training tool in the world. But because it can help someone build momentum.
And momentum matters.
Are these machines the best way to build strength?
Probably not.
Are they going to replace a structured training program?
No.
Are they the main tool we would build someone’s long-term fitness around?
Also no.
But are they better than not moving at all?
Absolutely.
That’s the part people miss sometimes.
Fitness culture can get so obsessed with what is “optimal” that it forgets it all starts with showing up.
- A walk around the park.
- A few minutes on a machine.
- Some light movement after work.
- A simple routine that makes you feel like you kept a promise to yourself.
That might not sound impressive.
But it’s real.
And real matters more than what's impressive.
At Stronyx, we care about progress that can actually survive real life. Our system is built around lasting capability, confidence, and consistency, not chasing hype, extremes, or short-term motivation.
- That’s why we don’t look down on simple starting points.
- The goal is not to shame people into doing more.
- The goal is to help people build enough confidence to keep going.
Because once someone starts moving consistently, something changes.
- They start to trust themselves again.
- They feel a little more capable.
- Fitness stops feeling like some extreme identity they have to force onto themselves.
It starts becoming part of their life.
That’s the bigger point.
Now, does there come a point where movement needs more structure?
Yes.
Eventually, if you want to keep progressing, you need more than random movement.
- You need direction.
- You need some way to measure improvement.
- You need to know when to push, when to pull back, and how to build strength, conditioning, mobility, and confidence in a way that lasts.
But that does not make the starting point meaningless. It just means the starting point is not the whole journey. And that’s okay.
Nobody starts at mastery.
Most people start with whatever feels possible.
For some, that’s a gym.
For some, that’s a coach.
And for some, it’s sitting down on one of those outdoor machines and getting a few reps in before heading home.
There is nothing wrong with that.
Because movement does not have to be perfect to matter.
And sometimes, simple movement is exactly what gets the process started.
At Stronyx, we believe progress does not have to start perfectly. It just has to start.
If a machine in the park helps you move today, use it.
If simple movement helps you rebuild confidence, that counts.
And when you’re ready to turn that movement into something more structured, measurable, and sustainable, that’s where Stronyx Performance can help.
